“Simply put, my personal experience with Dr. Marcelo of Interventional Pain Management has been wonderful. I found him to be attentive, knowledgeable, encouraging me to ask questions, and not upset when I asked about information I found on the web. For roughly two years, I had been suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis, with lower back pain radiating down into my buttocks and hamstrings. Medications, physical therapy, chiropractic, and dry needling all provided some small measures of relief. After reviewing my MRI and symptoms, a local orthopedic surgeon wanted to fuse four of my lumbar vertebrae together. Wanting to explore other less drastic options, I went to see Interventional Pain Management. Two weeks ago, Dr. Marcelo performed a MILD (minimally invasive lumbar decompression) outpatient procedure on me. Results were amazing; I now have no pain for almost the whole day. I am just a bit stiff in the early morning, I suspect this is because of arthritis not lumbar spinal stenosis. If you’re experiencing back pain, I would recommend that you see Dr. Marcelo before undergoing a major surgery with a long recovery and uncertain outcome.
